Best Cayman Breakfast Hangs
Best Cayman Breakfast Hangs According to Frequent Flyers
Cimboco
www.cimboco.comMapPassengers love their 5 items for 5 dollars breakfasts, which have made them a Best VALue on the island. Their breakfast skillets are filling, made to perfection, and so good. They also have a great lunch and brunch. I have one passenger who fly’s to the island twice a year, and always orders their Caribbean Fire Roasted Shrimp wrapped with fresh Spinach & Apple-wood smoked bacon…with a Cimosa chaser, Cimboco’s rendition of a mimosa. Cimboco’s pound-cake and Key lime cheesecake are the favorites of many. The cafe is a feast for the senses with an exhibition kitchen and wood burning oven. Everything is made from scratch, from the breads and soups to homemade desserts – Cimboco even makes its own ice cream! Think fresh, homemade, fun and family.

Lauren’s Café
www.laurenscayman.comPassengers love Laurens Cafe! Especially their crepes (made right in front of you) which are huge and filled with nutella, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, whatever you want! Many of my folks love that they serve breakfast all day. They have family friendly pricing which so important for large families. I keep hearing great things about their eggs Benedict and breakfast burrito. The staff was very friendly and attentive, my husband I had lunch and ordered their fish wraps quite tasty! Lauren’s is a cozy place with blue and white accents throughout and lots of natural light thanks to the large windows. It also features an outdoor patio where people can sit on balmy days, shaded by umbrellas. The menu covers breakfast and lunch. There’s a wonderful atmosphere at Lauren’s because we want people to truly feel at home. There’s a menu, but if diners want something different or special and Chef’s got the ingredients in-house, he is happy to accommodate them. In the meantime, however, you need to stop by for breakfast or lunch and sample the many delights on offer. Those who love lunch, lunch at Lauren’s! (345) 946.7745

Waterfront Urban Diner
www.waterfrontcayman.comThe Waterfront Urban Diner is a hip new dining destination perfect for lazy breakfasts or casual lunches. One of my passengers called it breakfast heaven. You'll find a hearty selection of traditional breakfast offerings, check out their award winning breakfast line up...such as honey granola, fresh oatmeal, croissants and bagels, steak and eggs, a breakfast flatbread, eggs Florentine, omelettes, the breakfast burger and the decadent smoked salmon platter – a hearty portion of smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, capers, red onion and a bagel. There is also a wide selection of pancakes, French toast and golden brown Belgian waffles. Many of the breakfast items offered seven days a week, all day - so if you fancy steak and eggs on a Saturday night, you'll know where to head. Reminiscent of a traditional style diner, the Waterfront offers a tempting new laid-back dining option, serving up American classics with fresh ingredients. "The Waterfront is a diner with a twist," Steve Shienfield, executive chef, says. "They have taken old classics and given them a modern spin." Indeed, the menu features a host of tempting, feel-good favourites, all a little more decadent than you would expect to find. For example, the grilled cheese sandwich, "grilled fromage a trois", is made with three types of cheese and finished off with a parmesan crust. There's also the home-style meatloaf, which is made with ground beef and bacon and served with a generous helping of red wine mushroom gravy for a really rich taste. Then there's the spaghetti and meatball dish – a single 8-ounce mozzarella-stuffed meatball smothered in house-made marinara. Among one of the most popular dishes on offer is the restaurant's maple salmon salad, a mouth-watering, tender piece of salmon covered with crunchy ground pumpkin seeds with mixed field greens, marinated couscous, cucumber and dried currants. Indeed, you can't help but smile stepping into the Waterfront Urban Diner, with its welcoming interior, oversized leather couches to laze away in, the comfort-style menu and warm hospitality. You could say the Waterfront adds a whole new deliciously flavourful element to Cayman's dining scene that will have you coming back time and time again. (345) 640-0002
